The UVic Orchestra, conducted by Ajtony Csaba, closes its season with a musical tour around the world. Starting in Latin America with Gershwin's Cuban Overture and the Mexican composer, Arturo Marquez's Danzón No. 2., a next stop is in France, to witness through Poulenc's Finale from "Dialogue des Carmelites" (featuring the UVic Voice Ensemble) the dark days of the French Revolution. At the final destination of New York City, the audience will witness a modern Romeo and Juliet story with the imaginative Symphonic Dances from West Side Story by Leonard Bernstein.
